The bar service NEVER fails even after 5 years of continuously bring friends and family here. The food is ALWAYS amazing. It's a beautiful atmosphere. I love walking my dog around the lake and being able to sit at the back outside bar with him and enjoy lunch, dinner or drinks.

MENU: 3 stars. I had a pretty good experience here. The menu is a tad bit overpriced, so I got the burger and was pretty pleased with my meal. It was well-cooked and had good flavor. The fries were intoxicating. Make sure you order a side of fries to try them. They may just be the best you'll ever have.
MOOD: 4 stars. The atmosphere was nice as well- sort of dimly lit, laid back, and pseudo-classy. We had a pretty large party so we were a little loud but no one seemed to give us dirty looks or anything, so I assume this place is good for big groups.
LOCATION: 4 stars. The location is also very scenic. Depending on where you sit, there is a beautiful view of the lake in the background. The restaurant itself is located right on Central, so it's in walking distance of a bunch of other places. There's also some parking outside and a parking garage in close proximity.
STAFF: 3 stars. The staff seems alright. Our waiter did not seem terribly amused with our antics. Maybe he was just having a bad day, as he wasn't especially keen on being included in conversations and jokes with us. Anyway, he didn't shame us for our behavior, which put us at ease that we weren't in a pompous, stuffy, and pretentious venue.
VERDICT: 3 stars for adequacy but very little excitement. All things considered, I probably wouldn't suggest Spice if other options were available. I wouldn't be opposed to returning, but there are most likely better options in the area that aren't offer better dining, location, and service for the price.

We live right behind Lake Eola so we have been taking walks to Spice more and more frequently. They have a wonderful happy hour with drinks specials, food specials, and some $5 sushi rolls! Everything we've ever ordered from here has been divine. The only thing I don't like about the restaurant is that the manager clearly has no dress code for his/her employees. The last time my mate and I were here, the hostess was in a dress that was so short her butt cheeks were showing and as she walked, her dress flew up and we could literally see her entire butt (she was in a thong...) and I told the manager that we love coming here but that a dress code needs to be implemented because there were small children eating there and no one wants to see another woman's butt when they are eating or out with their husband or children.

This is more of an advisory than a review. I would implore the restaurant to train the service staff to be more attentive. Last night (Wednesday night), my wife and I were seated by the hostess by the patio area since we preferred outside seating. The menu and the wine list were very appealing and we were looking forward to order. But for 20 minutes, the three service staff members kept passing us over for other table and seemingly clueless of our presence. We decided to get up and leave.
