This place is the worst that I've ever been to I've been coming here for over a year and a half and I've never been seen by a psychiatrist is always been by a registered nurse today I had appointment at 1:30 and got here 10 minutes late because of traffic and I called and they cancelled my appointment it's all about the money and not taking care of the patients will never come back here again.

PREVIOUS REVIEW....
I am working with Barbara and think she's amazing. I am hopeful after a month that I will get my meds all squared away and feeling better. I DO FEEL BARB LISTENS AND CARES! She told me they would not give up on me and take as long as it does to get me better.
The staff has been very professional and treats me with respect and are always helpful. I called several times for problems with the medication and I was never made to feel I was a nuisance. This is really important when you are dealing with mental health! THANKS!
EDIT!
Wow I really thought the NP was going to help me. First 3 appts went great but yesterday literally told me to be quiet more than 3 times. She used a speaker phone for a phone call appointment that just kept cutting out and everytime I tried to speak she cut me off or was condescending to me telling me she needs me to be quiet and listen. I didn't even get the whole sentence on how one of my meds wasn't working as well as the REGULAR vs extended release before she cut me off and said no. Just no. My appt was at 4:30. Called the day before to reschedule but the girl at the desk asked me if I would like to do a phone appointment. I was so happy they would do that for me but then Barbara says "I don't like doing phone appointments" like I was at fault for asking for a phone appointment. "I need you to be quiet" but ON SPEAKER PHONE I can't tell what was even going on! She said..."it's 4:30 I have been talking to people all day and just want to wrap this up" Lots of condescending fake laughs like this will somehow mask how incredibly awful this 12 mins was. Wow. Thanks. Won't be back. I already knew this as each appointment was more and more rushed. I am not a slam dunk feed me drugs patient so I believe I need a real dr. Seems like the later the appointment with this office the worse care you are given. RUSH RUSH RUSH. Now i have to spend more time and money starting all over. I spent $35 copay for 12 min convo being told to be quiet.

Very professional office staff, dr Martinez is a terrific doctor and I would highly recommend him if you find yourself in need or depressed. The office is very handicap friendly and the staff is always available to assist you with appointment changes or urgent appointments. They are absolutely the best! I have been seeing him for several years and am very satisfied

Let's begin with my medications. So basically the nurse practitioner at this practice started off with medications for me that seemed to work at first but over the course of a year we had tried multiple different medications, only to find that they weren't really working. I took it upon myself to do some research and had requested that she order a Genomind test kit to get an overview of medications that were most likely to metabolize best with my body. She said that those tests weren't accurate and that she didn't want to do it. Realizing that her trial and error method, wasn't exactly accurate I wanted to get a second opinion. After speaking with my primary physician I realized that the Genomind testing wasn't 100%, but what did I have to lose I'd trying different medications and nothing was working, why not try something different. After that I decided I needed to see someone willing to work with my primary physician in finding the best plan for me and not just interested in loading me up with different prescription medications. Before deciding to seek proactive psychiatric care I had experienced other issues in this office that made me question its integrity.
One day I made a call to the office and let them know I was running late. Instead of politely letting me know that I would have a missed my appointment, she had no problem completely getting an attitude with me finishing off her statement with " you don't make the rules here the doctor does", as if I was trying to go into this with special privileges I was only requesting a few extra minutes to get my prescription refill as I was running out. I arrived to the office and after getting my prescription refilled I had no problem letting the front office staff know this is a mental health facility, regards for patients should be top priority, costumer service and common courtesy is required to assist patients and assure they have a comfortable experience at the office. That is their only job.
The next time I went in the actual doctor at the office called me in for a meeting, and explained to me that the office let him know that I'd been the one that was rude and I was welcome to be discharged since they really don't have time to see patients who have issues with his office staff. Dr. Martinez failed to even here my side or acknowledge the real issue. He has no problem allowing his son to write reviews on here for him though to boost his ratings.
After letting my father know what had occurred he reached out to the office and was unable to speak with the manager because the lady at the front desk didn't know her name. The next time I went in to see the nurse practitioner to explain to her why I wanted to leave and describe the horrific experience I've had with the staff and Doctor she like the rest explained how rude my father was on the phone, and how he used fowl language. I knew this wasn't true as my father is a highly respected executive and knows that professionalism is the best way to get things done.
It's been two months since I was discharged, and I have been unable to find a new psychiatrist yet that is nearby and can see me within the time frame they gave me to find. After speaking with another psychiatrist as to what I should do regarding getting prescribed my medication to avoid going through withdrawals and other side effects, she told me that I definitely need to contact the office and request one more refill until I find a new psychiatrist. She explained to me that the office will have to prescribe your medication. I called today and got Nina again, she told me she'd speak to the office manager, and call back. She then spoke with my mom and told her that they were unable to re-prescribe.She had already told me the doctor wasn't in I'm not sure how she would have come to that conclusion given the fact that she wasn't able to speak to the doctor.
I have about two weeks until I'm out of my medication, I am extremely worried about how running out of my medication will affect me. I'm hoping to find a new psych asap.
