Love the branch location and staff except for new manager Francisco Medina. I've had my accounts with Chase since 2002 and live in the Solaire next door and so I visit this branch. Thus far everyone has always been exceptionally helpful which is why I continue to bank with Chase.
Earlier in the month, a series of automatic payments debited from my account and it accidentally over drafted. It had also happened years ago in another brand in California and they reversed them with no problem. I went into the branch on Church today and unfortunately was "helped" by Francisco Medina, the new manager.
I explained that i was there to discuss the overdraft fees that I recently incurred. He informed me that the max he could reverse was 1, maybe 2. Then said he would be willing to reverse the 2 out of the 4. ... which is certainly better than nothing however its $40 x 4 ... $160 for the account going into the negative and then quickly brought out with a deposit, from a customer than has over 6 accounts (personal and business), and been with Chase over 13 years.
He continued to say he had no authorization to reverse more than two. I asked him who does and he said no one does and to try calling the call center. So a live person, a manager of a Chase bank told me they couldn't help me, and to call the call center. Come on now ...
So I asked him who his boss is and he said the district manager. I asked if we could call her but he said no way she would take the call and she is busy. He said she could call me, which I said was fine.
I asked him in the mean time, to please reverse the 2 fees he said he was authorized to reverse and then I will speak to her about the rest. HE REFUSED ... said now that I am going to talk to her, he wouldn't reverse any fees and that was procedure. That just doesnt make sense ... he's allowed to reverse 1-2 ... but then says he won't reverse any because I asked to speak to his superior? SHADY
Still like the brand but won't be going back until Chase gets a clue and removes him from losing their clients.
