Overall, I have had a wonderful experience at the Mills Ave location. Dr. Blake has exceeded my expectations on vet care. He is knowledgable and takes his time during a pet examination. The staff is friendly and always greets me when I come in.
One suggestion, to help cut down on wasted paper, please ask the customer if they would like their receipts emailed. Also, if they do request paper, print on both sides.This will reduce your paper cost and save trees.
Also, the people at the lobby area have been WONDERFUL. May I make a suggestion to the office manager or Banfield Company, it is too much to ask for one person at the reception area to wait on people, check patients in and out at a very busy vet office and answer the phone at the same time. You do NEED to get another person to help out during the busy times.

Initially I was really happy with my visit, which is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. My dog had an allergic reaction, I brought her in first thing in the morning and they had no spots available. They offered to keep her there and see her in between patients, which was wonderful because I was very nervous about my pet's condition. Dr. Barmen was the vet who gave me two options for treatment for my dog. I selected one and she offered to keep the secondary treatment on file in case I needed to come pick it up. A few weeks later, my dogs allergy came back. I called on Sunday, explained the situation to the woman who answered the phone and she said the DR was not in today, that she would be back on Monday. So I called Monday, explained my situation again, and was told the DR was not going to be in now until Wednesday. Today's Wednesday, I called again, explained my situation to the woman on the phone and she tells me the DR isn't going to be in until Thursday. I asked why I was given this information and she said she wasn't sure and proceeded to tell me the DR was actually in the office the last couple days. Not pleased. The Dr we saw was great, but clearly the rest of the staff needs some retraining. Seriously reconsidering making this my primary vet for my pup.
UPDATE: I called Banfield Corp. to express my discontent. The Dr. Called back and apologized, and the office manager. The Dr. also provided me with her email to prevent this type of incident in the future. Appreciate that they reached out, hoping for better service in the future.

Had a vomiting cat and didn't have a local vet yet and they were able to get me an appointment the next day as they had just closed when I had called. They were great with my cat and were able to help me keep the cost down by letting me set up and immediately use a Wellness plan. My cat still wouldn't eat and the next morning and when they opened they got me in immediately for blood work which is included in my new plan so that and the visit cost nothing extra. We got him some prescription food and some meds and after a day of me force feeding him with a syringe he ate willingly that night and has been doing steadily better. Very fortunate that this vet is so close to my house and that they were so very helpful.

The staff is kind enough. However. they are way too small, and they ABSOLUTELY do not understand customer service. In the last six months, I have had to reschedule twice and wait more than 40 minutes the third time. EVERY ONE of their customers has a cell phone. Why the receptionist doesn't call people to warn them or reschedule is beyond me! Maybe also this specific office is just too small and understaffed to manage emergencies, and they should communicate thoroughly that walk-ins will have to wait or go to a larger Banfield for better service.

I haven't even been here and I love it already. I've never heard of this place and they got me crying because not only were they....nice isn't the word for their attitudes....but this location was the only location that would take my cat at the earliest time, they were so understanding of my poor baby's situation. I have numbers to five different pet hospitals and every one except this location were grossed out, rude, they thought my honeys situation was funny for some dumb reason, and they said they couldn't take him in because those Dr's are either too busy and absolutely can not take him for the next couple of months (and I'm worried he won't make it til Monday) or its 'too big of an emergency so they're sorry they can't take those kind of emergency services'. But this location had me crying for joy after we hung up they were so kind and understanding and actually sound like they just love the animals they take in. I will be suggesting this place to anyone and everyone and will make this my only pet hospital location in my address book. Will make a review after we return home from our appointment
