We bombarded the restaurant with about 25-30 students about 30 minutes before they closed the kitchen. They bent over backwards to take excellent care of us. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Richards is one of my favorite places to eat in Peoria. I highly recommend the Black Angus Burger. It is one of my favorites. You also can’t go wrong with a horseshoe. This place is the perfect way to end a fun night in Peoria.

The food is GREAT but the service is HORRIBLE. Waited 20+ minutes for acknowledgement and another 10 or more before being seated. There were several empty but unbussed tables. So it was kind of a bummer.

Get the horseshoe. They have a decent selection of other foods, but the horseshoe is the best. They load it with more than enough fries, meat of your choice, loads of cheese sauce, and 2 huge pieces of Texas toast. They even have a food challenge if you can eat 2lbs of different meat. 2 lbs of fries. 2 lbs of cheese (I think it was 2lbs) and 7 pieces of Texas toast. All that in 45 min. I don't think many places in the Peoria area have food challenges.

Wait service is consistently pretty awful but I can't blame them. They usually have to put up with drunk groups of college kids. Food is usually pretty food. Drinks have always been decent. No handicapped entrance as they are underground. When it's busy you might as well find someplace else to eat late at night.
