If you are stuck in the city looking for something to do away from all the crowds this is a nice area to just go out for a walk or whatever.

Fairmount Park is a beautiful outdoor landscape just outside of Center City Philadelphia, where I often visit to enjoy the natural scenary, a picnic al fresco, hike or bike ride, or a walk with my dog. A great Philadelphia resource .

Fairmount Park is the city's biggest and most beautiful open space. My favorite part about the park is the Mann amphitheater. Bring a blanket and lay in the open field and enjoy live music every week of the summer.
