The food not so good. The mussels had sand in them . veal. Greasy. Being Italian i was not impressed. Service was good

Typical south Philly Italian food. Lunch buffet is a deal. The fresh bread is amazing.

Poor food quality.
Visit with my family and order veal parm.
The plate had a 6x6 inch piece of veal that was 1/4" thick and over cooked and covered with spaghetti.
Taste like it was sat all day and reheated in the microwave.
Management took the plate away and offered nothing.
Bad experience watching my family eat while I ate bread.
The waitress told my four times that the management took the cost of the bill expecting me to appreciate the fact that I wasn't being charged a meal. I couldn't eat.
My previous visit, I ordered veal Marcella and it was tasteless with small portions.

Warm, traditional, and nostalgic. Personl service with little extras that make you feel like family. Food belongs in a magazine. Huge portions for the price. Best traditional South Philly restaurant for over 20 years.
