Barbecue meat Mecca. So delicious, especially with the in-house sauces and Cheerwine to wash it all down. The baked beans are especially worth having, though they're hearty enough to share with one or even two other people.

An amazing BBQ place. The happy hour is great. The staff is also very good. Be prepared to deal with a lot of children.

Came here for a friend's birthday party and was unimpressed. The chicken was, by far, the best thing I tried, which included brisket, pork belly, ribs, baked beans, mac and cheese, German potato salad, and sauerkraut. The prices are also a bit much for what you get and the overall flavor. I've had much better BBQ elsewhere.

Excellent, better than I expected. Yes, the atmosphere is comfortable and creative while looking like it was designed around the building's original atmosphere. There are tables and people cleaning up, but the food and liquor are ordered at the counter. The wait in line was entertaining, but, I may give myself extra time or go somewhere else if I had plans for a movie or something afterwards. The BBQ was delicious. They have quite a selection of Whiskeys, Bourbons and Scotches. This is definitely a place that someone has to check out with a group of friends, a date, family or solo. Although one booth was marked reserved, I was able to easily find comfortable seating for the others I ate with. The atmosphere is spaced nicely so if there are any 'drunk, hungry and loud' groups of people nearby, it's not distracting whatsoever. If you're not familiar with this part of the city, it has a lot to offer compared to 15 years ago and I felt adequately safe walking through town after parking.

Nice atmosphere, never too crowded, pretty good BBQ food, and nice drink selection.
Basically, this is the bar that everyone goes to when Frankford Hall is too crowded, but really, I like it better than Frankford Hall in a lot of ways! Fette Sau has indoor and outdoor seating too, with an interesting vibe, and their food and beer selections are better than Frankford Hall's in my opinion. (But I'm not a fan of German beer and food.)
My only gripe with this place is that it is a bit pricey. Their cocktails are high, and their beers can be a little high as well. It's not insanely high for the area really, but I feel like they should have some more specials and discounted items on weekends. I never see any drink specials there.
Overall -- It's a nice place to spend a warm evening drinking and eating BBQ outside with friends. I go there quite often, and enjoy it every time. Just be prepared to look for the lower-priced items, if you're poor like me!
