Had dinner last night. Seated in upstairs dining room with large groups so loud that our family could not have a conversation. Food was mediocre compared to other locations in sea isle and strathmere. Really a complete disappointment. Would not recommend at all.

The price is comparable to other places in the city...however, any other Italian place would be better than what we had. I ordered pasta primavera which cost around $20 and it looked like the veggies came from a frozen bag and lacked flavor. My boyfriend ordered pasta and shrimp for around $30 and the dish was not fresh. Bread for the table tasted stale as well. All in all, we might have ordered the wrong things. If that's the case, they should just reduce the offerings on their menu and focus on the dishes they do well (if there are any). Super disappointed that we spent $50 on this meal.

Excellent food and service. Being from out of town, we did not realize there was no wine served in house--the place is well known to locals for bringing their own wine with a very reasonable corkage fee. Nevertheless, the Maitre D' found a way to take care of our oversight, to our great satisfaction.
Don't be put off by the prices on the website. Evidently that is pricing for catering parties. The menu in the window was very reasonably priced.

Dining at La Fontana was fantastic. Italian food is my favorite and my parents wanted to take me out for dinner last night since my birthday was on Friday. It was only our first time but we were treated like family. The atmosphere was very pleasant: kind servers, great Italian music, delicious food. The lobster ravioli was amazing and the calamari (my go-to) did not fail to impress me. I would 100% recommend La Fontana to anyone. I will definitely be coming back.
