Our first domestic Context walking tour, and it was just what we wanted. Our guide was both entertaining and knowledgeable, providing us with the social, political, economic, and architectural environment of the city on the eve of the American Revolution.

A friend who recently did a Context tour in Italy recommended the company to me before my trip to NYC, and am I ever glad she did, because they were the highlights of Manhattan! My husband and I did the History of Finance tour and the Architecture of New York tour, and they were great. Not only did we get the benefit of having locals show us their city while talking about subjects they were clearly experts in and passionate about, but they were so friendly and fun that at the end of the tours, we felt like we were saying goodbye to friends. I will never travel again without checking the Context tour schedule again! Thanks to Context, but mostly thanks to Bill and Emma - you guys were amazing!

Fascinating walk through Central Park with a well-informed guide. Having lived and worked off and on in Manhattan for 40 years, I was delighted by all the new information, maps, and illustrations our guide brought to the tour. I especially enjoyed her sharing her own interest in waterworks with us, making this a focus of our walk.
