I recently adopted a kitten from the local shelter. From everything I read online and observed, I believed that my kitten was suffering from ear mites. I had a coupon from the shelter for a free visit to banfield (otherwise I would have taken my kitten to my regular vet). I explained everything to the vet at banfield. I asked multiple times for an ointment to clear up the skin issue (started on the right ear and spread across her head to the left ear).
The vet continued to do various tests (each costing $54). She told me that she was pretty sure it was ringworm, but the only way to identify it would be with a culture, which would be another $54 and take 2 weeks to receive results. I insisted that it was not ringworm. In the end, I spent $115 out of pocket and had NO ANSWER. I proceeded to go home and read more online. I found that an ointment called animax was commonly used for kitten skin issues. I had some animax from an earlier issue with her rear end, so I decided to try it. Well, that cleared up the skin issue. I SHOULD NEVER HAVE GONE TO BANFIELD!!! They wasted my TIME AND MONEY! STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Complete joke! Dog had a tail injury and after 2 weeks and 3 different Bandields they just don't know what they are doing. Sad to see Petsmart still partners with them. For any injury I would seek a real vet. Most likely have to have a partial amputation of my dogs tail due to their "expertise". I really question their education and experience. Is this a place for "entry level vets" fresh out of school? Wish I could give a zero as they don't even deserve 1 star.

They wont' let you post unless you hit at least one star. Stay away from their so-called "Wellness" Plans. They charged me hundreds of dollars a visit knowing that they weren't sure what was wrong with my precious baby, Samuel. They saw him three times during the week he was put to sleep. He had been enrolled in the "Wellness" Plan for over three years which was automatically deducted from my checking account. Until this illness, he was a healthy five-year old cat. Now that he's gone (December 17, 2016), they're telling me the "Plan" is still in effect and I have to continue paying them for the next four months, despite my already paying them hundreds of dollars while they did nothing but send him home with an antibiotic and two 3 oz. bags of "special" cat food for his digestion. They don't care that each month I have to look at my statement and think of my Samuel not being with us. As long as they get payments for the next four months, they don't care. Once again, STAY AWAY FROM THE SO-CALLED "WELLNESS" PLANS! They're just another racket to take your money!

Love this place - they genuinely care about my fur baby - so sad to have to find a new Banfield in NJ. Also love this Petsmart -they're so friendly and helpful. Hoping that NJ facilities are as good.

I have a wellness plan for my cat and dog. It's a huge convenience and value. Sometimes it's hard to get a certain type of appointment right away, but I've never really had a problem getting an appointment that works for me. They have drop off times as early as 7am.
