-Overall-
This place is not worth the visit none of the restaurants are worth trying, I have tried them all. In addition the (Mid-upscale) furniture store is staffed by rude, unfriendly staff who treat the customer as if they are doing them a favor. Even worse the merchandise is about 30% over comparable furniture stores online and about 20% bricks and mortar. Too bad Oriental Cargo closed they were expensive but service was better.
-Notes on Problem-
When they are not complaining about lack of businesses to each other ( I know how to speak and read Chinese) they are sitting in front of the TV and yelling at various different customers not to touch items. More like a museum than a business act peeved if you ask questions or you don't buy anything most items over $50 I would avoid if unless you are desperate to get bad service.
-Notes on Giftshop-
Other gift shop at other end has better service and OK gift selection of deities and affordable scrolls, money boats, and some mythological items, however no furniture like Tansu, Medicine chests, or lamps most items under $25 unfortunately other store has better Chinese mythological and furnture.
Market is good in regards to beverages and not bad on produce, they have a first rate collection of Sake, and Plum Wine (from affordable to lavish) Selection of tea also excellent.
Hope this was helpful, hope we can get a real China Town someday.
