The staff and dentists were all very nice and knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns and make my experience outstanding and stress free.

On 9/27/17 I went to Dr. Lawrence Rudolph at Three Rivers Dental for a consolation for dentures. I went with a coupon as seen below that clearly states that my first visit and X-rays would be free. This was the reason I choice Three River Dental because I did not want to use my benefit money knowing that I was going to need extensive dental work done and had to use my benefit money wisely. Both the dentist and the receptionist reassured me that my exam and X-rays were free and my insurance would NOT be billed. They did ask me for my insurance to give me an estimate on how much the dentures would cost me.
I have been victimized by a scam. You can clearly see that I have been billed incorrectly and when I called and spoke three Rivers Dental’s billing department, Renee, was very rude and hung up on me. I feel that an injustice has been made to me and my insurance company MetLife and I want Three Rivers Dental to stand by their word and coupon and reimburse my insurance company. Please tell what we can do to settle this situation.
Sincerely
Madelyn Smith

If you don't like the way they treat you and speak up about it, they will threaten to take legal action against you. Don't be fooled by the average of 4 stars. It would be much lower if they didn't coerce patients into signing away their right to complain about poor treatment (eg: you wanna see a refund for any reason, even for something what was their fault? You'd better comply!).
When I went for a check up (August 2017) their office convinced me to be fitted for a night guard. I only agreed after one of their staff members assured me that it's covered by my insurance. They told me that I would only have to pay my deductible (which is $50) and come back in a couple of weeks to pick it up. A few days after my appointment, I checked my insurance claim online and noticed something off. I contacted my dental plan and they told me that night guards are absolutely not covered and that my claim is in the process of being denied. By the way, the night guard is over $300! I contacted the Greentree office and they were very unhelpful. They rushed to end the conversation and gave me very vague information (ie: they need to get in touch with the lab, then it became they're waiting to hear back from the lab, etc). I've contacted twice in over two weeks and got nowhere in terms of a resolution or real answers as to what's going on. Not once did they reach out to me proactively, despite telling me they will get in touch (I had to call first every single time). They did nothing to keep me abreast of the situation nor showed some sort of transparency regarding the process. And what does the lab have to do with the situation to begin with? One of their employees gave me wrong information (whether through negligence or on purpose) to get me to pay for a product that I would've otherwise declined. They should have offered me a refund the first time I contacted them with the right information. I even told them that I can't afford $300. Their response was some non-committal drivel about "waiting for the lab."
And to make it even better, they finally got in touch with me when I made a review (this review) detailing their dishonesty. They tried to force me to sign a document to shut me up. They told me they can't give me any of my money until I do so and it's just "company policy." This contract would allow them to take legal action against me every time I spoke or wrote about their company in a way that they don't like. That seemed really offensive to me so I sought legal advice on the matter. Multiple attorney friends told me that they can't sue patients for making factual statements on review websites - which their owner threatened to do to some other reviewers on Yelp - and signing away my first amendment rights is worth a lot more than just some dental work. After presenting their management team with a counter contract on how to iron this situation out, they've since ignored me. Apparently, they don't like the taste of own medicine.

Don't call it a scam! But do realize that this is a sales driven kind of business. Dentistry is subjective; one dentist will say you undoubtedly need a nerve treatment (i.e., root canal). Another dentist will believe a simple filling will do. And you're probably like me and not an expert that would know the difference. I believe Three Rivers Dental has given me the absolute highest price service required to resolve my issue during a number of appointments and didn't realize this until my last and final appointment (I've been a customer for a few years with a number of treatments). Also, I did more research on the company, like checking the news and internet searches regarding employer reviews. It's very disappointing (i even saw one where the owner threatened someone with a lawsuit over their post)
This business has very friendly staff! So of course they're going to get good reviews. But that doesn't mean they actually needed the treatment they received. This is why people say they're scammers. I think they care about me when they're taking me through the motions (e.g., cleanings, xrays) but they ignored me when it came to money
In my instance, i neglected to ask to see the xrays or even ask any questions when the doctor said I needed two nerve treatments. Distraught, I went into the little business area and we arranged credit card payment and set up my appointment. On the day of my appointment, i decided to at least ask to see the xrays and ask some questions just out of curiosity (everything is convenient on their computers). I was very courteous because i felt like a hassle and embarassed for not asking questions during my first appointment. I HAD FULL INTENTIONS OF LAYING DOWN AND GETTING IT OVER WITH. I explained to my dentist and she immediately behaved as though i was trying to back out. I said "no no, i'm just trying to understand, i completely neglected to ask any questions last time and i didn't even ask to see the xrays." She answered my questions but made absolutely zero attempt at empathizing and giving me more details than i was asking for. She even rudely asked me "are you trying to back out?" I said "oh absolutely not, i called off work for this". I was using phrases like "grey area" and "shadow" to try to get her to explain like she actually cared about me (and of course they always tell you to ask questions). I felt like i was...PULLING TEETH! She ultimately offered another xray so i could get a better view, to which i obliged, but she returned to the room asking "so are we doing this?" before even offering me the xray they just took (how strange!). I asked to see the xray, she became more concerned i was cancelling, and became rude when i was asking for information. She drew the attention away from my xrays and finally said "i guess we're not doing this then, good luck finding someone that will fill that back tooth." I was standing there in shock with my bib still on. She turned and walked away, even in front of the other hygienist, who was very embarassed for me as she walked me out. it was horrible. Ultimately, the dentist cancelled my appointment on me, in front of witnesses, and then tried to keep the $580 reservation deposit. I fought this with phone calls for over a month. They stopped calling me, refused to explain, it was absolutely one of the most frustrating and appalling experiences of my life. I eventually had to go to my credit card company for help and initiated a dispute. I think Three Rivers never responded to the credit card company and were eventually charged a "charge back". I was free!
I immediately got a new dentist down the road that only does fillings and small things. He sends you away to do nerve treatments and he's not sales driven. He filled both of my teeth no problem at all and i'm much happier now.
My advice to you!! ASK QUESTIONS UPFRONT!! Ask many as you can! Understand their payment policies, especially circumstances you may find yourself in which are not explained in their fine print!! (in my case, there was no information on THEM cancelling on ME, only vice versa)

Dr Fammmartino did a great job with my implant! I was never in pain, even after the initial surgery then when he wasn't happy with the way the first permanent crown turned out, he had a new one made. It looks fabulous, he did a great job coloring matching and I never had any trouble getting in to see him! The only complaint I have is with the insurance processing, which eventually got taken care of.
