In January I bought a groupon for $35 for a 55 deep tissue or swedish massage. After purchases the groupon I called and made an appointment, they said the earliest one they had is May 7th (today the day I am writing this review) so I took it. So today my appointment was at 2pm I show up at this place that looks like a DUMP/dive apartment building. There was no sign saying that it was even called BodyWorks of Shadyside. I go inside and go to the second floor. And there is a note on the one door saying "Groupons are not accepted at this address, please DO NOT DISTRUB". I was actually very glad because this is not a building I would even want to be in. So my first thought was it was the wrong address on the voucher I printed out so I called the number the number had been disconnected. So I called groupon and they said that the places boiler broke! Boiler? I would NOT recommend this to anyone EVER! I had a horrible experience and didn't even get a massage. The place was filthy so lucky for me they were closed. The pictures on their website are a hoax! Thankfully groupon said they would put my money back that I paid onto my debit card in 10day. Thanks GROUPON!

This place is so cold, and hard to find. The ambient is bad, the massage is not good. I'll not going back again.

I've had two massages at Bodyworks of Shadyside, this last one being with the owner, and both sessions were excellent. I got exactly the massage I needed each time. Service was friendly, and each therapist seemed very proficient and expert in their work. I fully intend on going back for future sessions; in fact, I bought a package for myself.

Poor. Unconnected touch without intuition or anatomical knowledge. Not smooth, not focused, didn't identify tight spots, hit my spine with his elbow, and was rude when I asked him to change what he was doing. Therapist was owner--Jeffrey. I actually got up and left after 10 or 15 minutes. NOT RECOMMENDED.
