I have been a member of this place since February I believe. They are all wonderful and I have never had a complaint. Today I had Jim for the first time and he has made me a personal fan. I genuinely enjoyed his expertise and the evidence of a formal knowledge of physical therapy is a must have for anyone with chronic issues like myself. Thank you Jim!!

Tela did a great job on me. Just wish people in the hallway would be considerate of others that are in sessions. Would definitely recommend overall.

My favorite place to get a massage! Jeremy at the front desk is AWESOME and so accommodating! Cali does a geat job she has good pressure and awesome technique !

My massage was absolutely terrible. One of the worst. I told him where to center his attention and I don't know if he forgot but I reminded him and he still didn't focus there! He was also far too rough. I said a Swedish, and he basically made it a deep tissue, I had to keep saying a little lighter than that please. He was all over the place. I don't know if he's new but it was awful. I have also been to many different Lavida's in different states. Normally the location is pretty, clean, nice to be around, great staff, great massage and most of all good prices. This particular one for whatever reason in Shadyside is small, uncomfortable, in maybe the ugliest part of Shadyside and Shadyside is beautiful. It's doesn't have a pretty ambiance at all like most of them and they are so overpriced! They are DOUBLE even a little more than that from other locations. Why? Because it's located in Shadyside? Then find a prettier venue, and get better staff. Because Shadyside isn't making up for how ugly it is on the inside and how poor the service is. The prices are outrageous .I may as well go somewhere gorgeous, and fancy pay the same money, and get my money's worth. LaVida in other locations has that good mix between being pretty inside, not necessarily a grand spa but very pretty and relaxing, and also having good service. This certain one is a waste of your time and money. It's one of the worst among the chains. Believe me. I travel a lot, I need a good massage. And out of all my travels of using this place I had never been so disappointed. Take your hard earned money else-where.

It was a very unpleasant experience! I cannot be more disappointed about the customer service at this place. I have purchased a gift card as a birthday present to a friend for the amount of $75. We have booked appointments for the same time as we wanted to have a girly pampering day. We waited for 2 weeks to be able to book appointments for the same time. When we went for our appointment, we were invited to fill in our forms. We gave the gift voucher and explained we will pay the outstanding amount. I was invited to go inside for my massage. When I went out of the massage, I sat down to wait for my friend. I waited for about 10 min when the guy on reception - Jeremy suddenly told me that my friend's massage didn't happen!!!!! You can imagine the distress I was in - after all this was HER birthday and present from me! My friend came back and she explained that after waiting for a while for her therapist - Jeremy told her that this appointment will not happen at all because the therapist didn't come to work! Can you imagine the disappointment! My friend told him we should get a refund and he told her that then he will take me out of my massage! Wouldn't you know when 2 people booked at the same time and show at that time that your therapist is not there??!!! It was ridiculous - why would you ask us to fill in the information - take our money and not tell us! Why wouldn't you give us the option to re-schedule?? Or even ask us how we want to proceed in the first place??!! He introduced himself as the Manager - sorry, but this guy cannot handle a simple customer issue! He told us after arguing for a while that we will get a refund in 2 days. Well...refund never came! I called the place and spoke to the actual General Manager just so she can explain this is against their policy! Seriously!! This is how you leave unsatisfied customers? Further to that - it seems they don't know how to refund gift certificates cause it was purchased online! Shouldn't Jeremy know that and explain that to us at the time???!!! Are you just trying to take people's money?! Nobody will ever get rich with 75$ but you sure will lose a lot of customers! Even if you tell me I got my service - what was the point when I got twice more stressed after that!
