We needed a hotel near the airport and this fit the bill. Coffeemaker (thankfully it was not the stupid keurig kind) and refrigerator were the two things that were important for us.
Weirdly enough, the bed only had a sheet and thin blanket, so we had to turn up the heater. The king bed had six pillows, which was more than we needed.

Excellent hotel. Staff was so helpful and friendly. The front desk clerk went above and beyond his dities. Very pleasant stay.

My wife and I stayed here for one night over the weekend. We booked through Expedia. Expedia messed up the reservation, but the front desk staff did an amazing job of resolving it and gave us a free breakfast coupon. Our room was excellent and clean. The hotel was less than a 10 minute drive to downtown which was great for checking out the restaurant and bars in town. Our breakfast the next day was great and checkout was a breeze. Would highly recommend staying here if you're in Portland.

An adequate place to spend the night in Portland. The hotel is clean, but worn. It's somewhat far from downtown, which is a double edged sword. It's near the bus station, train station, and airport. It's walking distance from the Thompson's Point outdoor music venue. There are good places to eat less than one mile away. I think is probably one of the cheapest places to stay.

The Clarion Hotel Portland Airport, in Portland, ME, provides excellent lodging at an affordable price. Although I only spent one night in this hotel, it was a memorable experience, one that I will cherish for years to come. My wife, and two daughters, also enjoyed the experience, which is important for me, knowing in advance that I would not have to deal with complaints about cleanliness, service, amenities, etc. From the size of the room, the decor, the ambiance, to the congenial & helpful staff, the efficient air conditioning etc.. I could go on, and on, but, alas, the only way to understand this incredible bargain is to experience it yourself! Way to go CHOICE HOTELS, you did again, another keeper! Thank you.
