Food was good, but nothing I'd go back for (though I will be attempting the Lost Bread at home). Came in for brunch on a Sunday at peak time and was delighted that our party of four was seated almost immediately despite the place clearly being busy. That was where I stopped being impressed. Coffee was served by a young lady who was devoid of personality (to be fair, she wasn't a waitress-just brought the coffee/refilled water). Our waitress was perky and pleasant but apparently forgot to put our order in. We expected a wait, but the place cleared out a bit after we arrived. The two-top next to us who arrived about 10 minutes after us was served at least 15 minutes BEFORE our food came out. I think in all, we waited about 30 minutes. In the meantime, a drink was completely forgotten about as well. At no point did our waitress express acknowledgement that we had been waiting forever, even after one of our party pointed out the missing drink, which we think is what spurred our waitress into remembering our food order. With so many places to eat in Portland, you really can't afford to let your service game be this bad. I know brunch is the most hated shift in the food world, but a little goes a long way with me, so if you know your party has been waiting a long time for something, at least apologize when it comes out.

This is one of my favorite Sunday brunch spots in Portland. I love getting the eggs tostada and sharing the warm lost bread with my companion as an appetizer.

I've eaten here on several occasions, all of which have been great. It's a fairly small restaurant, but when the front room fills up, they tote you through their kitchen into the rear dining area where outdoor seating also awaits you if you dare to be so bold. Dinner offers a wide selection of creative dishes that will leave you fully satisfied. Caiola's has, however, turned into my new favorite place to get brunch-- if you leave there without at least trying their "Lost Bread" you've missed the whole point of brunch. Savory and sweet, Lost Bread is the perfect brunch-etizer to share with your table or gorge on your own.

Small parking lot on the side with a handful of spaces, but the West End has plenty of street parking--you shouldn't run into issues.

Good food. Good drinks. Pricey and cramped.
