We had an incredible experience at Miyake. A group of us went and had the 7-course omakase - so it was a surprise from beginning to end. My friend also got the sake add-on and it was very fun to try tastes of different sakes. The food was adventurous and delicious. I definitely tried things I never would have before (and maybe not again - ha ha) but it was a lovely experience. One of our party got the 4 course dinner and her dishes looked absolutely amazing. And another person got the 3 course vegetarian dinner. The server was so knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. It was a beautiful meal.
On my next visit I plan to go with the 4 course dinner so I can have some idea of what I'll be eating. LOL!

So glad we made it back to one of my favorite sushi places on the East Coast. Almost left Maine without tasting the delectably spicy tuna roll with yellowtail sitting in the spicy mayo with almond slivers. The snapper ceviche roll literally melted in my mouth. The service is very welcoming and the sushi chefs never to busy to tell you about the dishes they are making. If you are a true sushi aficionado this place is right up your alley.

Very good value from their omakase experience. My husband got the sake pairing as well which he was very pleased with. Service is attentive and the vibe is classy/cool. Make sure to reserve in advance and try to grab a seat at the bar to see the chefs in action!

Absolutely divine food and wonderful service! I was so charmed by everything. The food was beyond phenomenal. I will definitely be back! Our waitress was the best... Ever! I am totally interested in see their second location. Definitely a must try when visiting Portland!

Wonderful experience! I called to ask about reservations and they do take reservations. I also told the girl that my husband and I had about an hour before catching our cruise. She was very helpful when we got to the restaurant, pointing out the things that would most likely take too long to cook. That was very nice. The food: AWESOME. I'm from VT so I don't get a lot of really fresh seafood or sushi and it was was delicious! The location is great, only a block from the waterfront which made walking to our cruise super easy. All in all, I love this place and will go back if I am ever in Portland again!
