Pizza isn't mind-blowing but it's consistent. The Caesar was kind of what you would expect from a hole-in-the-wall pizza joint. Decent service. It makes for a good alternative when we don't feel like cooking.

I love the fact that the staff recognized our group even after not having been there in over 15 months. The pizza slices are delicious and you really only need 1.

Started eating the best pizza in Portland here 30 years ago. Just finished a slice and salad. As good as ever!

Love this place. Been coming here since they opened. Good pizza, good beers on tap and hold in the wall experience. Could be a little cleaner like it used to be. Only reason for 4 stars

HI, I've loved American Dream since it first began. Mid-afternoon today I went in for a slice and while I waited and waited, the music went from loud to louder after I had asked the manager if it could be turned down. If I were paranoid I might think that the over toasted slice I got (and carried it outside to eat to get away from the music) might have been from retribution about my pretty cheerful request that the music--perhaps-- might be turned down. The Manager was quite nice listening when I came back in with my plate. I hope the owners read these reviews. This experience won't keep me from going back AND it was disappointing that
the staff in the back were, at least today, meeting their own needs instead of hosting the customers, all five of us older.
