You can get a better steak at Saylers. Cinnamon on halibut? Under cooked scallops. Nothing special here.
It's like they tried way to hard. Out of the six in our party nobody enjoyed there food.

Pros: Good service
Cons: For the cost of the meal, the quality of the food was not where I would expect.
There was nothing that was outright bad, but nothing outstanding either. The service was good, but the food did not stand out. My wife and I have our list of favorites, and I can't say that Bluehour is on that list. With so many good restaurants in Portland, it is hard for me to rate Bluehour any higher, or to plan to visit again.

I have been to Bluehour twice now, both times for brunch, and each time have been thrilled with my experience. The vibe, the staff, and most importantly, the food, have all been exquisite!
I highly recommend the french toast, and do try their $2 mimosas.

Hostess made a number of the guests in our party feel like they shouldn't be there. Food took over 90+ minutes to arrive. Server didn't bother to ask a number of our party if they needed more to drink. Server and other members of staff left the restaurant before we did. We weren't lingering late or anything. By far the most expensive drinks and food we ate while in Portland. Only positive note was that the food was very good but not worth the hassle or price. Avoid if you have any party larger than say 2.

Really pretentious. Not sure that's a bad thing, but it's notable. The food was mostly really good, with the exception of the undercooked pork. I was with a large group who all had the same thing, and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who gutted it out and finished it. It didn't kill me, but I wouldn't recommend getting adventurous with rare swine as most folks aren't going to like that. The wine was plentiful and the staff were great!
