Excellent but expensive, and worth every penny. The bacon is to die for, as are the prosciutto wrapped dates skewered with rosemary, and the burgers are the best in Portland by far.
This place has definitely raised the bar to a high new standard.

The food here is incredible, as well as the cocktails. The prosciutto wrapped dates appetizer are my favorite!
My waiter for the evening, Jim, was and always is professional to a T. He's patient and very knowledgable on all his menu items, what wines and whiskeys pair well with what food items.
Scott was in the kitchen this last visit. He takes such a pride in his preparation and execution of dishes, and it shows.
This place is wonderful. The atmosphere is fantastic, there's always interesting art on the walls, there's always delicious food and amazing service.
This is definitely a destination point for dinner and drinks. Will definitely be going back and recommending to friends!

Me and a friend were just at this place. We were hanging out, had a few drinks, chatting and being friendly with one of the bartenders. OUT OF NOWHERE this guy comes out and says we have to leave. He claimed that we were "being lewd" and "disrupting other guests". As you can tell I am writing this coherently and intelligently and this guy was, as I told him and the rest of the bar, as I was forced out, OUT OF HIS MIND. This guy had some sort of agenda and was way, I mean way, out of line. My only guess is that he was "involved" with the bartender and concocted some jealous ideas in his head. I have never ever experienced anything like this in my life.

This is a review for a visit on 11/12/14.
I had a good time at the Branch. The prices were just a bit steep but that's to be expected. The food was okay but I found the atmosphere to be just we bit too dark.
They had a reasonable whiskey menu adjacent other drinks. I would definitely return.

I've been here twice and both times the food and drinks were excellent. Food is pricey but the drink specials during happy hour counter balance that. Food is DELICIOUS... best mac and cheese and steak salad I've ever had. Duck fat fries are great. Bartenders are mellow but in my experience always very welcoming. Great place for a date.
