Lively yet cozy atmosphere. The food and service seem to be hit or miss (mostly hit but I've definitely been there on an off night). There's a great fire pit outside, the house-infused liquors are pretty good, and the decor is mostly funky local art that is for sale and changes periodically. The tacos are interesting and tasty but I think rely too much on heavy rich ingredients for flavor. Lots of good vegan and meat options though!

Hit or miss for me. The first time I went I didn't think I'd go back again, but peer pressure got me back. The second time the tacos we're pretty good.

Very interesting place. Gourmet tacos. Small but only $3.50. I just ordered "The Jerk" and "Bob's your uncle" and "Sweet Caroline." Over the last year or so I've tried them all (except the vegetarian ones). Love this place. Noisy tonight, though.

I love tacos, and this place is a gem to me. The menu may seem strange, at first, but these guys have the whole fusión game down.
It can be a little anxiety rich for some during the dinner rush, but the food, beer/cocktails, and waitstaff are worth it. I personally go for lunch on the weekends and it:'s easy going. Booths, bar, table, and outdoor seating. 2 uni-restrooms. Street parking. Maybe not the best for the kids...

Granted they were slammed on a Saturday afternoon in August, but the food and service were so-so. I remember it being better a couple of years ago. It took 15 minutes before anyone came to our table to ask if we wanted anything. The servers seemed a bit disorganized, but were friendly, and maybe under different circumstances would have been on top of their game. There was way too much cumin in one of my tacos, like the cook had an accident. They messed up my drink order, as well as an order at the table next to us. Noticed other tables also having general issues, mostly having to do with wait time.
Maybe it was just an off day for Cruz Room, maybe they were understaffed because everyone is at Burning Man, or maybe they've simply lost their shine with age.
