Good menu, except for cashier that speak spanish but he didn't understand to me at time to order a caldo de res bowl.
It's the only wrong thing I saw there. Other than that, personal there are very gentle with customers.

We had fish tacos and they were bad and vegies were old not fresh and the staff was rude , do not waste your money

Came here once off of a suggestion from a friend. Food wasn't terrible--there's definitely better and worse Mexican food in Portland--but the service was poor. Wife ordered an item on the menu and the employee decided this would be a good time to be overly condescending. My mother then had a question about a menu item and the server goes, "You know, it is what it says it is" in a big huff. She then proceed to get the orders we did place wrong. We would have left if other members of our party hadn't already gotten food. I would give the food 3 stars. It's average at best. Service because of that employee would have to be 0 stars.

La Bonita is the extension to our family's dining room. We eat here regularly when in Portland. The quality of the food is consistently of high quality. Everything is made from scratch. We love that the main cooks and staff are the same people from at least 15 years ago.

The people are always friendly and the food is always excellent! I go here work coworkers for lunch on a regular basis. We've even had a coworker use their catering service for their wedding, they were very happy with the food. The prices are fair, especially for the amount of food you get. And the food doesn't taste greasy, it tastes fresh and not over seasoned.
