Awful Salon.
Rude, and preoccupied staff, ridiculous wait times, disrespect for clients time and appointments, and an atmosphere of lude conversation and un-professionalism.
After Valerium makes you wait 30 to 45 minutes for your appointment, the appointment can take up to 4 hours - while he chats away with his husband on the phone, or goes downstairs to "mix color" for 25 to 30 minutes.......
I will never return, and I suggest you avoid this sub standard salon also.

Amazing. Been trying for the right gray for two years. First visit, he nails it perfectly. Go here...look amazing.

Valerium is FANTASTIC! My hair has been a challenge for me my whole life, wavy in some places, straight in others, uncooperative and unpredictable. I used to wake up and spend an hour in front of the mirror playing let's make a deal with it.

That all changed fifteen years ago when a close friend of mine showed up on my doorstep with the cutest haircut! The length and shape faltered her face and neck and she looked fabulous. Before she was out the door I was on the phone making my first appointment. No one other than Valerium has cut, colored or helped to calm the curls and frizz since.

He has really great instincts and personal style and I have complete trust in him to give me a cut that is stylish and low-maintenance and with fabulous color. He's happy to be adventurous when I am, but offers his recommendations or concerns so that I don't leave wishing I hadn't been.

You know you have a great stylist when you get complements on your hair from complete strangers every single day! Sometimes they are admiring my hair color, other times it's the fabulous cut and sometimes they ask how I get my hair so smooth and shiny. I have sent my whole family to him and they are all hooked.

I have been going to Valerium Salon for about 5-6 years now and love it! I have seen both Valerium and Alisha and they are wonderful - great stylists, fantastic people. Valerium does amazing color and we've mixed it up over the years every which way and I always walk away happy and always garner compliments. I've also had the sheen smoothing/ straightening treatment a few times since I have curly hair and he's so thorough that it lasts for 6+ months! Most recently... after 5 years of debating, I decided to cut my long hair into a fun, frisky bob and I LOVE IT. Valerium takes such careful pride in his work, he wants you to be happy and he always knows what's going to work with your hair, style and look. He's extremely hard working and has built an incredibly successful business - and it shows.
