Just last month a "security" employee at the Belmont's Inn stabbed a woman in the face, arms and back outside the bar and is awaiting trial for attempted murder.
In 1994 the Belmont's Inn cook and her brother were sentenced to life in prison for murdering the bartendress.
Both horrific violent events were botched robberies for drug money.
The Belmont's inn is known for it's pool, videopoker, and overpriced bar food. It's also known for frequent violence requiring police. Belmont's Inn is most infamous for it's supply of cocaine. The manager Britt sells it out of the basement. The entire staff is strung out. When you tip there you are buying someone cocaine. The owner Seth is on the take and looks away. At night the drunks disrupt the neighborhood but it's the cracked out people working there you really have to worry about.

Nice tap selection, decent bar food, great happy hour. Belmont Inn is a total dive, but it's reasonably clean and offers a good contrast to the other, fancier bars that surround it. The real hidden treasure is the fine selection of pinball machines. Bring a roll of quarters and settle in to seven great machines.
