Food is good for a bar. Atmosphere is friendly and music is good. Not live but good. Not a bad place to get a drink, food, play pool, and do homework at the same time.

Cheerful Tortoise represents the epitome of bar hopping. The external ambience is that of a Tuscan Countryside, fit with several intoxicated college students. Each one drunker than the last.

Cheerful is a lively spot with amazing staff and awesome people. It has a pool table, sports on the bigscreen, daily specials, and amazing deals on beer. The cover is always reasonable and the environment is worth it.

Hand down, easy choice! The staff was fast and very friendly. The atmosphere was fun (there was karaoke), with some nice sitting areas to chill. Sadly, you cannot smoke outside after 10pm, but other than that, all around a good time, and a good bar.

It's not bad for a divy sports bar. It's a mixed crowd but primarily college students. They have a lot of TVs and good food and drink specials. I've only had burgers and wings which I liked. So I can't really attest to the rest of the menu. When it comes to dive bars I start with the safest menu items. If those aren't good then there is no point in being adventurous with my menu choices.
