Best burgers! (biased.. grew up down the street). Service is slow but friendly! (still family owned and operated). As long as you go in knowing it will be slow.. get a beer and have good company the burgers are great! (however I pass on the fries and just get the ruffle chips that come with).

Great atmosphere. Sports and school pennants everywhere. Some real classics. The staff is friendly. Had the special which is a big kind of greasy cheeseburger with a fried egg and bacon in there. It was tasty, but not over the top good. The fries were the kind that aren't very crisp. 3 for the food, 5 for the vibe, averages out to 4.

Went to this establishment because Thrillist Travel listed Stanich’s “Nick Burger” as the best burger in America. Firstly, this burger was not the best in the Portland area, let alone America. It was overly greasy and lacked ingredients that the menu said it came with. There was nothing special about it.
The restaurant itself was lackluster, old, and in need of updating. The staff, although friendly, was quite slow and felt like they neglected us. Seriously, a 1.25 hour wait for 2 burgers?
Only good side: it had TVs to watch sporting events while we waited for our food.

This place is disgusting. The waitress was unfriendly and inattentive to everyone there, we had to go up to the bar to get our check and I watched other tables sitting for 15 minutes before she even went to greet them and it was NOT BUSY...there were things floating in my water and crusted to the outside of the glass. While we certainly didn't wait that long for the food to come out, the burger was sloppy and the fries were unappetizing. I know for a fact it would be shut down if there was a surprise kitchen inspection. Its dirty and old and I wouldn't be surprised if I wake up with food poisoning.

Well where do I start, I wish Google has minus stars for the reviews. Definitely not the best burger in America that's for sure. The waitress is rude at best and the other server plays on her phone. My first time there and I witnessed a guy walk out after a hour without getting served. My ticket time was one hour and twenty minutes, when I questioned the waitress she had no idea what was going on. I told them that a ticket time over fifteen minutes was unacceptable. When she brought the mediocre food she threw it on the table like it was my fault. Well for a Portland icon I will never go back to that attitude. Steve Stanich your father would be embarrassed. Don't waste your time going there....
