I need a few questions about the menu answered before making a reservation but can't because of their automated phone system. I recommend them simply having a employee actually answer and not lose a customer before they walk in the door. I really wanted to try this spot to but if they are to busy to answer the phone...

Disappointing. The place is really nice and inviting. The service was excellent. The food did not match either. We (party of 3) had steaks that were far too fatty (inside and outside) and not really tasty. The food was not bad enough to return to the kitchen, but not good enough to enjoy. Not good for a restaurant that prides itself on the quality of their meat..

Good food, well prepared; excellent service, pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. My only criticism is the portions, they are small...very small. I had the steak and eggs for breakfast.

Ambiance good. Drinks were good. Service was lacklustre. Whether overstaffed or just disinterested during happy hour we sat with empty glasses for near 20 mins. My advice would be to sit at the bar if you are looking for more than one drink during happy hour

Thanks to GM Jeff for giving us an informal tour! Urban Farmer stays true to Portland's aesthetic. The creative use of reclaimed wood gives it a rustic chic feel, despite the large space. The dishes are well executed with a heavy focus on locally sourced ingredients (I highly recommend the foraged mushrooms for $13). Sides are generously proportioned and entrees can be shared. We had excellent service while dining at the bar, but I suspect that would have been the case regardless of where we sat.
