Our recent purchase of a used Braun Mobility Van from Performance Mobility was a very SATISFACTORY experience...a competitive price, great customer service, the entire staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and detail oriented‼️

Performance Mobility quickly scheduled a same day appointed while I was at the Honda dealership with a problem with our van that they couldn't take care of under warranty because the van had been converted. We drove from Wilsonville to Performance Mobility in Portland prepared to wait for our scheduled appointment. They took care of us before our appointed time and fixed the door so that it would shut in place but noted that the frame had bee curbed and that we might need body work. They suggested that we drive the van for a while and see if rain or daylight comes between the frame and door - then we would know that we should take the van into a bodyshop. They also recommended a bodyshop that works on conversion vans when we asked if they knew of a bodyshop. We really appreciated their service, explanation, and what to look for in terms of future problems with that sliding door.

Performance Mobility was once a great place to bring your car. However, after the past two experiences I have had there, I will not go back. The first one: I brought my wife's car in to have to have the door serviced. After spending $250 the door had the exact same issue.
Okay, I get that sometimes you have to take the car back to find the problem.
I didn't get around to it so I can accept some of the blame.
The second one is really the worst. I dropped my wife's new car to get hand controls installed. When the car was ready, a week later, Jesse informed me he could not release the car without a letter from my wife's doctor. A) My wife has been driving with hand controls for 20 years.
B) Jesse (or someone at Performance) couldn't have told me a week ago?
C) As a long-standing customer, I don't appreciate having my wife's car held up so she can't use her only mode of transport.

OK, I got that settled, had the note faxed over, paid the $1700+ and asked them to leave the car at the airport. They told me they would.

We got in from our flight and guess what? No text, no call, nothing. It's 9:00 at night and I look for the car for 40 minutes.
We finally had to take a taxi home.
I get a call from Jesse this morning, and he tries to put this on me.
When something goes wrong, blame the customer? Cya?
I know there are not a lot of options in Portland for this type of service, but really?
I want to say one final thing: Jamal has always been great. He understands customer service.

I just purchased my second van from Performance Mobility. My first Van was totaled in an major accident. Mike Neher has made both purchase wonderful experiences. If you need a great Sales Manager Mike is the person to look up. The dealership itself is a little out of the way for a lot of folks but it's truly worth the extra few minutes it takes to get there worth the while. To Mike and thee rest of the employee's my hat's off to you.
