We read about the coffee service in a local newspaper and heard that you could have any type of coffee drink you wanted while attending a discussion style church service. Pastor Carley Friesen is the minister and she is an amazing speaker who draws from many sources in literature and history, including amazing prose, poetry and quotes, then she ties into current life and her ongoing perspective which includes the fact that we are living now in the Kingdom of God, we can help one another and the whole earth. The crowd at the coffee service is eclective, intelligent, committed, varied in age and perspective, and everyone is welcomed. The number of people has grown to include up to 50 or more attendees, with a core group of about 40. There is a teacher for the kids, so if you like provoking thoughtful participatory discussion and ideas, come on up to the church on the hill some Sunday morning at 9 am and you will find a very interesting time with delicious coffee, too.
