In the late 80's I worked with Dr. Pekiomaki when he had his office off of Hawthorne. I was 27 years old, young , slender and attractive , a single mom to a young son , and I needed this job because it was so close to where I lived at the time. With all of the abuse coming out in the news , it brought back the abuse that I dealt with from Dr Perkiomaki. He made it very clear the last day I was in his office after he pushed me up against the counter in the sterilization area , that either I be "nice" to him and start wearing clothes that "enhanced my figure" or get fired . This was said as he had his hands around my waist . Everyone else had gone home , I was alone with him. I was very afraid, but I pushed him away and ran out the door. This was very typical in the 80's , assistants were "owned" by the Dentist , in fact they kind of still are today . I am sure I am not the only assistant he did this to either. And yes , this still bothers me .

My new hygienist, Courtney, was great. Dr. P. was responsive to all my questions. He is the best!

Dr Perkiomaki and His staff are excellent! Pain-free dentistry w/beautiful results! Brenda the office manager is wonderful! Thank You for all that You've done for me.
