6 months ago today Dr. Jay Malmquist performed a bilateral temporomandibular joint arthroplasty on me, and I gotta say I never thought I'd feel so amazing! The recovery was a long and painful process, full of long day trips to Portland for PT & months on a liquid/mush diet, but it's all been more than worth it. He did a PHENOMENAL job, nobody ever notices my scars unless they already know they are there- sometimes I even forget now. I could not have asked for a better doctor. It's an incredible thing to be able to go from constant pain and difficulty speaking, eating, and sleeping, to being virtually pain free. I'll always have to be careful with activities and eating certain foods, but I'm totally okay with that. It's a small price to pay. I'll never take for granted being able to eat and speak like a normal human again! Dr. Malmquist, I could never ever thank you enough, you have completely changed my life!!!

Due to an injury Dr. J. Malmquist has done many surgeries over the last 35 years. The variety of surgeries vary but the quality does not. Dr. Malmquist flew to Santa Monica, Ca. to assist in a surgery when there was no one certified to perform the surgery in Oregon and it allowed him to do my follow up care.

Dr. J Malmquist has also removed all four wisdom teeth on all three of my children. The last one done last year and he told me one of the teeth was one of the most challenging of his career!

I have done much education into my condition which can be a real challenge for some physicians but Dr. Malmquist has worked with me and we have an understanding almost like friends. I have referred many friends and acquaintances to Dr. Malmquist and will continue to do so with his son Michael Malmquist now part of the practice.

I have been Dr. Malmquist's patient since moving to Portland in 2005. Over the course of 10 years, he has successfully seen me though several extractions, eight dental implant surgeries, along with other intermittent procedures.

I have always had full trust and confidence in Dr. Malmquist's technical expertise and decision-making capabilities and in the integrity of his practice -- beginning with our planning consultation, right until all follow-up care is completed.

The proof of his accomplishments for me is in my self-assured smile. Thus, I can recommend Dr. Malmquist as "the leading man" of his profession. Thank you, Dr. Malmquist and Staff for my ongoing care and your excellent service!

I had a root canal and crown from 20 years ago that went bad. I was referred to Dr. Malmquist for an implant. He and his staff made me feel comfortable throughout the implant procedure. Oral surgery is not something a person looks forward to, but my experience was great. I would refer Dr. Malmquist to anyone in need of oral surgery. Competent and professional from start to finish.

Malmquist has designed his business to extract as much money as possible out of you. This is not an over-exaggeration. With a little research you can find a handful of doctors in the same area who can do the same level of work. Malmquist is disrespectful, an one other reviewer noted, he took a phonecall with his friend over the "superbowl" after a 3 minute meeting which cost me 240 + x-rays that were not needed. Do yourself a favor and avoid the greed. Many dentists get money from referring you to different practitioners. If your dentist referred you to Malmquist turn the other way and research. That my suggestion from experience
