Great school, however parking is very limited and expensive. Be prepared to either get there early or maybe consider trimet. Other than that nothing but goof experiences.

Facilities are out dated (not having any outlets for 130 people in a computer coding class) and setting up financial aid has been absurdly difficult. Never going to another university after this experience.

My experience with the faculty and the program I was enrolled in was mostly positive. My main issue with the university is the incredibly high differential tuition rates. Receiving my graduate degree has cost twice as much as I initially thought it would, mostly due to misinformation I received from the Financial Aid office. I ended up dropping classes and decreasing my enrollment so I could work full-time instead of focusing on my studies; a situation directly caused by not receiving Financial Aid funds that I was assured, on multiple occasions, that I was eligible for. If you're like most students and you will be relying on aid or student loans to complete your education, then I advise you apply elsewhere.

The quality of education compared to the ever increasing cost is mediocre. While I have had some great instructors, majority of them rely solely on online programs and online books. This leaves little room for actual quality learning. Considering he university just increased tuition, you would think the education would be of a higher quality. This is not the case. Why is the president of PSU making so much money while the poor students suffer? I have had many more quality instructors at a community college then at this University. Prices are rising both in tuition as well as books. Often times you are given a code for a book and website that automatically grades your work. This means instructors are doing less and less. The online books also expire which means there is no resale value. You can't go buy a used book, because the only way to finish the class is to use the online service. While not every class or instructor uses these scam methods, majority of be teachers do. I feel like I get one good instructor for every 5 mediocre ones. The president of the university is lining his pockets while we the students continue to empty out ours. Many of my teachers seem to not even care about the subject they teach. It is as if they don't even want to teach. We the students pay so much and you continue to disappoint us.

Anything to do with administration (payments, billing, registration, application) is consistently a nightmare. Their website systems are hard to navigate, find information, register, really anything. Charges and fee's get included when they shouldn't. Getting in contact with someone, or the right person, is difficult. I should have realized from my first bad experience registering with them that administrative tasks would be the hardest part of my degree. I have multiple degrees from multiple colleges and universities and none of my experiences with administrative tasks have compared to this place. Beautiful campus in a perfect downtown Portland location still doesn't makeup for their terrible processes, procedures and systems. Additionally they have a big selection of classes to choose from for your program when in fact 90% of the list are actually never offered. This has the appearance of a bait and switch tactic to attract students to their program.
