I've been here for several spinal procedures. I've found the staff to be friendly, efficient & almost tireless in their efforts to keep me "cool, calm, collected". Under the best of circumstances, I am an acknowledged, HORRIBLE, hard stick when it comes to getting IV's started or blood draws, for that matter. When it comes to finding a vein for ANY reason, mine seem to be tantalizingly juicy, then say "See ya!" & disappear. NWASC has been AWESOME in making a difficult task as painless & stressless as can be expected. While everyone is stressed when it comes to any procedure, & it doesn't matter how many a person has had - I'm already at 21 major surgeries & still counting-expecting several more in the future - stress & nervousness rule the day. That being said, everyone reacts & experiences differently, before, during & post procedure. I have found NWASC to be neat, clean, & friendly, & they have always been professional, thorough, kind, & compassionate in their care for me. Why give the facility a bad rating when it is the private practice physician who has a behavior issue? I'll be back here for other procedures & YES, I WOULD recommend this place to my mother!

We are exceptionally happy with Northwest Ambulatory Surgical team and especially their pain management (including Infublock pain pump and nurse support) which has resulted in a nearly pain free three full days post rotator cuff and bicep repair for my husband. His surgical procedure was complex and yet his experience has been amazing and mostly pain free. The bolus feature on the pump allowed my husband to give himself a dose (before moving his arm as directed by his physician) allowing him to function normally with minimal limitations short of his restricted arm movement. My husband and I would suggest this team to anyone wanting to be assured of limited pain and quick recovery. Drs. Pettit and Norling as well as the nurse team are all to be commended.

Lizzy Caston wrote a review of her view on my surgical experience. I am the patient and good friend that she refers to and I do not agree with her statements. Please take the time to read my entire review. I have been going to Northwest Orthopedics for about 10 years and have found everyone incredibly professional, kind and compassionate. I had my knee replaced at the surgical center and while I am a very challenging patient they went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and well taken care of. After my surgery I had pain issues which they immediately addressed by having me come in after hours, calling in both the doctor and the anesthesiologist to assist in adjusting my medications and nerve block pump. They went so far as to providing me with their private cell phones so I could contact them any time in addition to contacting me once or twice a day just to make sure I was okay. Having a knee replaced is a hard surgery but this group of individuals were with me every step of the way. Even though my job offers excellent insurance, I pay out-of-pocket just to enable me to receive care at both the Orthopedic Center and the Surgical Center where later this year my other knee will be done. While my friend Lizzy’s heart is in the right place and everyone has a right to their option, I wanted to make sure people had my side of the events as well.

A friend just had knee replacement surgery here. My assessment is this is cut em and boot them drive through chop shop, not a diligent, well run surgery unit, hosotital or recovery center. Everything seemed to be run rather lax loosely-goosey manner from the open door by the elevator without any security or oversight into the recovery area which means anyone off the street could walk in and steal a patient's thing or cause them harm. Horrible communications from staff, especially follow up care instructions which were scribbled on a folded up piece of paper.. Every piece of required equipment they provided the patient to take home at cost to insurance and the patient broke within the first few days. Seriously. Every single one.,Which is a total red flag too. They even got the patient's written meds instructions wrong vs what was in the bottle. They do not provide any oversight, hands on check ins or care in the critical few days after surgery - this is a life risk for blood pressure issues, infections, blood clots , as well as other stable vitals. When called They poo-pooed valid concerns of the patient's reaction to severe side effects medication that could have caused her to overdose or harm herself saying to her friends "well, you'll just need to work as a team to care for her" rather than taking these very well documented problems seriously and acting in a professional clinical manner. I know enough to know what a safe, we'll run clinic is and this was very troubling to see. Maybe they are good for simple procedures like cortisone shots or stitches but I would never ever reccomend anyone use them for a major surgery such as a knee replacent.

Despite a rough start (day of surgery HVAC went out and I had to be moved back a day) my experience was great. The staff was so friendly and efficient. I never felt like I was sitting around waiting, which is amazing for any form of medical facility. I signed in and was taken back fairly quickly once I the back and changed the nurses were all so nice and accommodating. I was a bit nervous about my procedure and they put me at ease. The anesthesiologist was great, very informative. I enjoyed my time here as much as I could considering I was having surgery. Great facility, great staff.
