Good grilled cheese. Good selection of soft cheeses. Next to a recovery center where people were yelling, and a open lot where there was a dead, decapitated rat.

A place like this succeeds by getting the basics right: taste, feel, selection, ambiance, and service. All are remarkable. It's the kind of place in which you lean into the staff's expertise and the results are worth the culinary trustfall. The cheesemonger knows his stuff.

Seriously amazing food and super friendly staff. We had the fondue (which is incredible), and the asparagus salad (ditto), and their wine selection is lovely.
