70's vibe with decent food. Veggies tasted good with an odd color. Prime rib had good flavor but too gristly for me. The waiter was nice.

Clyde's is a Portland landmark. I'm certain back in the day it was fabulous. Today not so much. Ambiance is nice and they have a full bar. Prices are very reasonable. However the food quality is definitely only "good". Not recommended for those looking for fine dining.

We chose this for a nice meal and music evening. The staff was friendly and attentive, though too casually dressed for my taste. Their standard had rubbed off on the patrons or visa versa, as most of the dining room was t shirts and jeans, even baseball caps. Unfortunate as I'm sure a lot of dresses and suits have slid in and out of those booths over the years. The decor is very much 50s steak house. Heavy beams, chandeliers, fireplaces and oil paintings. Meal was well prepared and seasoned, my martini and Spanish coffee strong and well mixed. Music in the lounge followed. Jazz jam night so it has it's highs and lows but it's always fun. All and all it was a nice night, i just lament the lack of respect people have for themselves and others in that they can't be bothered to dress well when going out.

Clyde's is one of Portland's very few remaining classic restaurants and live entertainment bars. Service and food is still good as ever. The space hasn't changed forever, just like stepping back in time. Prices not bad either. The bar scene is old Portland as well with such old school entertainment as Curtis Salgato Tuesdays. I love this place.

Generally speaking, the food is outstanding here. Once in a while, things re hit and miss. But if you let them know, they're quick to fix the situation and happy to do so. The bartenders rock. And there's great live music. This is definitely one of our go-to places!
