Made a dinner reservation but kept waiting 30 minutes for a table to be cleaned. Told our (very nice) server that it was a birthday celebration - heard 4-5 other tables have birthday songs, etc - but they forgot. Ladies restroom was filthy.
Our table had the imperial tasting menu consisting of 12 dishes served across 4 courses. Lots we're not on the menu and most everything was delicious with a progression from spicy and savoury to lighter and sweeter dishes. Overhead our server recommending the Chef's favorite dessert but it wasn't part of the tasting menu.
The restaurant's position in a hotel might be it's downfall because it's not clear whether it's more meant to be an expensive hotel bar (with attendant bar flies) or high end dining. With so many options in Portland, not sure I feel compelled to come back - even for the food.

Food and service were great! Very nice people! Extremely over priced however... The reason for 4 stars opposed to 5, the atmosphere... I’d imagine that a 19 year old would find the decor appealing, hell I’d love it in the interior of a spaceship. Soon as you get off the elevator the lighting hits you right in the face, BAM! The only word that I could muster to describe the decor, douche. While leaving in the the elevator, I asked a patron what he thought of the place... His response, “tragically hip”. He is right, this place is “tragically hip”...the lighting, the decor, even the damn name. If they were to tone it down 20% I’d give this place a 5.

Super cool styling. Delicious food, not your average food on the menu which I like. Stopped in for a glass of wine and an appetizer with a buddy. It was very cool. I wasn’t aware, but next time I would go wearing a button up shirt and slacks. Think I was the only one in there wearing a t shirt and jeans. Just FYI.

Two words: Pork Belly. I wish I had ordered two more portions of it. The Crispy Pork Belly was hands-down the best thing we had on our table. We also ordered the Big Eye Tuna Poke, Grilled Scallops, Wok Fried Brussels Sprouts, Black Sesame Beef Skirt Steak, and a Plum Tart for dessert. All of it was amazing. We finished our dining experience with a glass of 10yr Tawny Port while enjoying the cityscape views from the patio lounge. The food, drink, and service was lovely, but I can't say I care for the architecture and overall airport departure gate motif. When I want to relax, I don't think of a crowded airport as my ideal spot. I found the layout harsh, angular, and over exclusive.

The bartenders are wonderful. Very personable and efficient. I would drink here. The food is great, albeit very pricey. The decor is modern and hip if not trying just a bit too much to be. I'd go back for Cocktails ahead of a night out
