I've owned a restaurant sort of like this. And it suffered from the same problems.
A: you're product starts out too good
B: the front is terrible.
C: The back of house slides
D: The Ingredients cheapen to make up for the huge labor problems.
E: The front gets worse.
F. You stop going.

The poutine was great, good ratios of gravy to cheese curds keeping it good and melty. Really hit the spot for this Canadian. The burgers were also solid and we enjoyed the atmosphere and laid back service.

The Escape Hatch for burger week is beautifully crafted. The sesame bun was sweet in flavor and toasted just right. The burger may have been on the medium done side but was perfectly balanced with an ever so slightly spicy mayo that both compliments the sweet and enhances the natural juices. Putting the meat on a bed of arugula prevents the bun from getting soggy as well as adding peppery undertones. Always fast and friendly service in a bar one could easily call home after the first visit. Not to mention great prices and the fries are both artisanal and a small can (and should) be split with a friend.

I was feeling like a giant disgustingly amazing burger after a long hike and foster burger did not disappoint. Fries are a bit salty. I'll try to remember to ask for them to go easy next time. Also super nice service here - always a good experience.

A friend of ours recommended us to try out this place, and this is the BEST burger our family ever had! We ordered the "eat your greens" salad, large house fries, 1 chocolate kids shake for my brother, and 3 fosters plus 2 lambs. The toppings were well cooked, the egg was cooked perfectly. This place is our new favorite, and will definitely be back. Service is excellent, always back constantly to check out on us! Would definitely recommend this place to our other family and friends!
