Open 24hrs. A great place for college students looking for a good cup of coffee and some fresh baked goods to munch on while finishing that English Midterm Essay. I will say, quite packed between 12 to 10 pm in the afternoon and evening. Still, its great for night owls due to lower customer volume. Staff is very friendly, even when swamped. Plus, they rent out small rooms by the hour if you don't want people all around you.

Southeast Grind is what makes Portland still feel like something special. Open 24 hours and the place has the grime, wear and tear, and oddball folks hanging out to show it. Can get a little busy around finals time since the college folks tend to congregate here for studies. Try some of their food made there or grab a funky seasonal drunk.

Excellent Cafe - Staff are AWESOME! Sometimes inconsiderate "characters" cause a fuss or start rearranging the furniture there. However the staff can and do get people to settle down and keep the Isles open with charm and powers of customer care persuasion! Nice treats at a good price and get this - the cafe is open 24/7 for 365 days a year! Get there early if you want a good piece of people watching real estate!

A great option, if you're into this sort of thing.
Pros:
-Open 24 hrs
-Good food and coffee drinks
-A good amount of seating
-Friendly employees
-It's very 'come as you are', with no pressure to buy anything.
Cons:
-The downside to that, is that some of the element it attracts can seem shady or sketchy. But I've never seen anyone being bothered by anybody.
-Parking near there at night feels like a risk. But again, I've never actually seen any problems.
-If you're looking for some place clean and shiny, or going on a date, try elsewhere. This ain't Starbucks.

One of my top favorite coffee shops! Love the eclectic feel. For a coffee shop they have some pretty good food too. The owner and her family are very friendly and they truly care about this place. I love having work meetings here and often recommend it as a meet up spot!
