This was my first visit to this store. OMG! This has to be a kayakers dream store. Many fantastic boats on display for sale, great equipment choices, and the best paddle selection I've ever seen. They offer kayak storage for a fee, offer wonderful kayaking classes, and behind them a short hop is the boat ramps.

Great location to launch into the Willamette. Staff friendly, lots of kayaks in great condition, pricing is reasonable. You do have to wheel your kayaks over to the park area to launch.

Inexpensive kayaking and friendly owners and staff. They're great to work with and are very accommodating. You can kayak for several hours "on the cheap." I'll definitely come back. Oh they have sunscreen too.

Such great service and soooo much fun. The people at the Portland Kayak Company are helpful, very nice, and really want you to have a great and safe time on the water. I've gone there 3-4 times and am 100% satisfied each time. You couldn't ask for a better location, prices, or experience.

The Portland Kayak Company makes it super-easy to have a fun adventure with friends or family even if you don't kayak well! From the kayak company you wheel the kayak down to Willamette Park, put it in the water off of one of the docks and lock up the wheels until you come back. The staff is very knowledgeable about the surrounding waters and they're able to recommend different places to go especially depending on your experience. They've always been very friendly and helpful and seem to really love what they do. I've never felt shy about asking questions or asking their advice on situations. I'll be coming back many times in the future to rent Kayaks from them!
