I am so pleased with the way that City Pets Vet has treated my dog and our family. They are quick to follow up on calls and emails. They do their best to get you in quickly (my dog had many bee stings and they saw him the same day). The staff is very friendly.

I was super excited that they have a rabbit specialist as many places only work on dogs and cats. Everyone we met there was super friendly and helpful. I felt that they were very knowledgeable about rabbits, and every time I have called with a question they were able to give me advice. They even called me back multiple times to check in to see how my rabbit was doing after he was injured. I would definitely recommend bringing your pet here!

In the past two months, City Pets Vet has: failed to actually schedule appointments when I call; failed to call me with test results before they called me to tell me the prescriptions (what prescriptions?) were ready to be picked up; failed to tell me how to administer the medication; and failed to respond to numerous phone calls and an email requesting further help.
I'm sure that a lot of this can be chalked up to their being very busy, but I've been really patient and it's becoming clear that these aren't individual mistakes, this is just somehow the way they manage their business. I think this place is probably fine if you're getting routine vaccinations or something - the techs are all very kind & friendly - but if it looks like you're dealing with anything more serious you might want to find a more responsive vet.

I moved to Portland with 2 dogs, one a senior in need of senior dog care. I tried 3 other vets prior to finding City Pets. City Pets Vet offers great, compassionate and affordable care. They are proactive in ensuring my dogs health and take the time to discuss in detail issues with me. They are a great asset to this city and I'm happy to take my dogs there.

My dog has been coming here since I adopted him three years ago, and he LOVES this place! He always picks up his pace when we get near and tries to drag me inside. The staff are so friendly, and they've been really easy to work with, whether it's scheduling appointments, getting medication and test results, understanding my bill, tracking vaccinations, surgeries...everything!
