I've been doing CrossFit for about 18 months and dropped in to CrossFit Providence several times while visiting R.I. for a few weeks. It was great to discover that this box follows the same programming as my box back in Colorado. Coach Josh was super-friendly and extremely focused on making sure athletes at all levels were comfortable with each movement and were scaling the workout appropriately. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend CrossFit Providence to anyone looking to drop-in from out of town, or locals who are ready to get fit, build self-confidence and live a healthier lifestyle.

This place is all about community! Give it 3 months and you'll be hooked and so glad you stepped out of your comfort zone!

Visited from NC and had a great time! Friendly coaching staff and excellent community. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good fitness experience in the Providence area or visiting like me from out-of-town.

Before I wandered into CrossFit Providence I was terribly out-of-shape and overweight. My first day (my first few months actually) I have very little clue on how to work out.

They've turned my life around. Two and a half years later I'm lighter than I was when I started college, I'm eating better, and feeling better than I ever felt before. They may be more expensive than that national chain gym around the corner, but every penny is worth it.

As someone with no gym experience and an absolute distaste for institutionalized exercise regimens, I can honestly say that Crossfit blew away my expectations. The classes can seem intimidating, but the coaches do an excellent job reassuring students so as to ease them into the exercise routines. Each class begins with an overview of the moves, time for questions, and then time to warm up to those movements, giving everyone a chance to prepare before burning big calories. It's excellent.

I've been attending Crossfit to train for a six month cross-country backpacking trip and I can honestly say that my knees, legs, and core are much stronger now than when I started. If you want to get fit while joining an outstanding community, come to Crossfit Providence.
