Nick-A-Nees is a thoroughly enchanted dive. Live music acts are diverse and consistently excellent. Bring only a predetermined beer allowance or you'll never leave.

As an outsider, I prefer to dodge the tourist traps and experience what some locals may call their home away from home. I've visited this place twice in two weeks and had a great experience each time. Bartenders are friendly and drink prices fair. Dog friendly. They have an outside seating area where you can bring your drinks. They have the wildest coasters, each with a puzzle (some easier than others). They placed two older jukeboxes (with the page turning CD books) next to each other and a long bench in front so you can take your time. $1 gets you 10 plays... seriously.
