They lied about my teeth. I was having some pain and when they examined me, they said I needed a root canal. They also said I needed to take some pain medication. They never got the prescription to the pharmacy so I didn't trust them with my teeth. When I went home for Christmas break, I went to my regular dentist and they said I had no cavaties, much less needed a root canal.

I'm correcting my review thanks to recent developments. I wish I could add this in addendum to it so that you could see both sides of the story, but as I can't, I'm just adding screen shots of the previous review to the bottom.

My initial set of experiences with Monarch Dental was, to say the least, quite rocky. I was beyond frustrated and was afraid of having to deal with permanent damage to my oral health because of the ways I felt my treatment had been mishandled. My case finally made its way to Dr. Chidester in their main office and I was asked to go in and see him to see if they could make things right.

I had gotten used to having a sort of brisk and business-like relationship with doctors, the best relationship I'd come to expect from them was purely professional. I know it's not really their fault that the business gets that way with them, it's a complicated issue involving a lot of healthcare insurance companies trying to push their way inside and a lot of legalities. Besides that, I think doctors have a lot of "empathy fatigue" that they have to deal with. When you always deal with sick people, or people in pain who need help as your job, it starts to just become normal for you. With this in mind, I was completely shocked by the treatment Doctor Chidister gave me. Apart from being highly competent and practical, this doctor showed me a shocking amount of humanity, especially given my frustration and hostility. He went above and beyond the call in seeing to it that my medical needs were met, giving me treatment at such a level that was far beyond what I could have possibly afforded. This man made my year.

While I did previously have a 1-star experience with Monarch Dental, I realize that I truly caught them at their worst, and that at their best, and indeed the norm they strive to have, they are indeed a 5-star provider, and committed to maintaining their professionalism and humanity if given the chance.

Most definitely great dental service. No one likes the dentist but I am happy with the care I received!

I had a great experience. I simply came to set up an appointment for the near future. They were able to put me into a cancelled appointment right away! The x-rays were fast and painless. The examination was thorough and explained in plain English back to me. The cleaning was gentle and efficient. Thanks guys!

Everyone there is awesome. There is not one person that doesn't go out of their way or make me smile. They go out of the way to help work around my crazy life. I don't know what the best way to say what the company would want to hear that I have never gone to any dentist place that was so comfortable in every way and have done a lot here and more to go.
