My wife had several visits at Mountain Ridge Dental. Our first impression was really good. The dental hygienists seemed very nice and we thought we had found a good dentist to go to for a while.

Dr. Libby was her dentist. His overconfident attitude was pretty irritating and he said some things that were a little uncomfortable/unprofessional. Overall, no deal breakers there though.

After getting some cavities filled, my wife was told that she would need a crown put in on one of her molars. She told Dr. Libby that we were having a little bit of a tough time financially and that we'd probably get a cheaper type of crown until we were back on our feet and could get it replaced with a better one. He practically refused and insisted that we just go talk to the receptionist and set up a payment plan (a stupid decision if you're in a financial pickle). He said, "I wouldn't put a cheap crown on a beautiful smile like yours" and flashed her a flirty smile. He didn't even try to conceal his deceit, not to mention he was flirting with my wife right in front of me.

We went to my dentist, who has been in the business a long time and is a very good friend of ours. He took one look at her teeth and told us that we didn't need a crown and that a filling would do just fine. Instead of paying $700 dollars for a porcelain crown, we paid nothing out of pocket for a filling. From other reviews I've read about Mountain Ridge Dental, it sounds like many have had similar experiences.

I would recommend staying away from this place. They may have good reviews on Google, but I've noticed a few people posting multiple positive reviews and I wouldn't be surprised if they're staff trying to up their ratings and cover actual customer reviews.

I went to Mountain Ridge while I was pregnant and shortly after due to my teeth hurting. The fillings they suggested surprised me since I had very few cavities prior to going and suddenly I had 6. I had 2 teeth in particular that hurt a LOT afterward and I went back 2 different times to see what they could do to relieve the sensitivity to both pressure and cold. I have a high pain tolerance but it was quite intense. Each time I had to see a different dentist and update him on my story. Each dentist would critique the former dentist's job with the filling. I finally went to a new place a week ago to see if, after a year, anything could be done. He said that the fillings were not bonded correctly and he needs to redo them for me to relive the pain. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Worse than poor! They don't even have laughing gas! When they cleaned my teeth it took 15 minutes and no protective fluoride! I had three fillings done (the doctor didn't even give me the shots himself, his dental assistants did) and one of them fell out the very first day. Another hurt so badly that I had them check it again and they took an x-ray and said that I needed a root canal. I decided to go back to my old dentist for a 2nd opinion, and he did sensitivity tests with the cooling gel and additional x-rays. He said that the pain was probably caused by how close to the nerve the filling was. He told me to take Aleve for a few days. Mountain Ridge just wanted to overcharge. Don't choose this dentist.

Dr. Green is a wonderful dentist for my entire family. He knows how to interact well with children as well as adults. I like that he takes the time to explain things to me without making me feel dumb or as if I should already know what he's talking about. He is comfortable to work with and I have never felt pressured or stressed while under his care.

I have had a few challenges with the business aspect of Mountain Ridge Dental. The office hours seem to change frequently without notice, and when I had an appointment scheduled the week that I was due to deliver a baby, the staff made it clear to me that if I were to go into labor and miss my appointment due to being in the hospital delivering a baby, I would be charged a late fee for not letting them know. I found this to be a bit rigid.

I had a great experience. I had a cleaning done and the hygienist was super friendly and was very knowledgeable about the condition of my teeth. She told me exactly what the dentist told me about areas I need to floss better and where the cavity was. She was also very gentle and explained every procedure done like that she was now going to measure my gums and what each number means. I felt relaxed and at ease and the staff was very friendly and easy to talk to. The dentist was great too and seemed very friendly and experienced.
