I wish there was a lower star rating I could give ! I don't even think -100 stars would explain how bad our experience was ! My appointment was at 7:15am we got there filled out the paper work, like any other apt. ,it took about 5min tops ! Then they took us back to the waiting room and told us "The Dr. Will be in to talk to you in a bit !" Yeah, fat chance !
We waited in that room for over an hour with no one giving us updates !!! Till I finally had to track down a nurse to ask what was going on ! Then waited another 20min before I got an answer ! And the answer was even worse ! They told me I would be waiting "at least" another 2 and a half hours before they could see him !
Mind you, my son is 3 years old and they had said he couldn't have anything to eat or drink till after they fixed his teeth !!
So by the time 10:30am rolls around they still haven't called us back and my son hasn't eating or had a drink in over 12 hours ! And its just breaking my heart , cause he is so thirsty ! I ask if he can just have some water ! They tell me he can have "2 teaspoons" what?!!! Like that will hold him over at all ! Finally by 11:30am they say they are ready for him so we get up and I go to carry him back , and they won't even let me go back with him, not even just till he is asleep!! They have a complete stranger carry him back while he is crying and wondering why I would let a stranger take him ! No one would even explain to me why I couldn't go with him !
I would have to say that its pretty cruel to treat people like this, specially little kids ! By the time he gets out of surgery he will have not had food or water in over 16 hours ! Plus they are really unsincere about their "apologies" if you can even call them that !

The only person that was any help at all was the front desk lady "Debbie" who offered to help get me some food after seeing how hard of a time we had and how long we had been waiting ! So I would like to thank her for her kindness !

Terrible. My little girl had an apt at 9am, and they didn't get to her until 11:00am. SERIOUSLY!? They kept quiet the whole time, and it wasn't until we inquired that they insincerely apologized that they were running a "little" behind. 2 hours is not little!! And some warning would be nice. She wasn't allowed to eat anything due to the procedure. Totally cruel to a child to make her wait that long.

Everything went smoothly, and they stepped up to the plate to negotiate with my insurance company and saved me a few thousand dollars compared to what it would have cost through Intermountain Health Care.

Recently had surgery at Riverwoods surgical center, while I would give my surgeon a billion stars, I was not so overwhelmed with Riverwoods. I can't quite put my finger on it, I work in healthcare, very close with inside and outside marketers of my facility, I spend a lot of time myself at other facilities with patients. I just expected more. Next time I will choose a different location, not "wowed" here, just "meh"
