The food definitely earned 5 stars from me, but due to 1 star service I have to give this place 2 stars.

We ordered the sampler which includes 4 meats, 4 breads, and 4 sides. We wanted 3 fries and mashed potatoes for our sides but only after getting to the very end right before paying for the meal, they told us they didn't have any fries. It was one hour till closing time, and there were plenty of people still coming in behind us.

The employees told us that they could go back and prep some more fries for us if we were fine waiting for about 10 minutes. We said yes, and started eating. After we had finished our food about 20 minutes later we went up to ask about the fries, and they said "let us go check". We went and sat back down at our table and after a couple minutes an employee came by and told us that there were no fries.

Honestly French fries aren't really a big deal, but you simply cannot promise a customer something and then go back on what you said. If I knew the service was going to be the same way if I went back again, I would not go back.

But again, the food was fantastic, but terrible service.

Amazing place. I'd go here probably before any other BBQ place I've been to in the valley. Esp love the ribs and brisket, the stew, and their Carolina sauce (I think it is). Can't really go wrong with anything they serve. Overall excellent BBQ joint.

I'm going to feel really bad for this if I find out later that this restaurant only hires the mentally impaired, but here goes.

The food here gets a 5 star rating, but the service is a solid 0.

They opened 10 minutes later than their website said.

The worker prepping our food was extremely sassy, even though I was extremely polite to her the entire time.

Then I ordered a sandwich, which according to the menu comes with a side and bread, but there was no bread. When I asked them about it they refused to give it to me even after I showed them the menu, where it clearly stated that I got bread with my order.

Then, when we got to the register they almost charged me and my girlfriend extra for "upgrades" that we didn't order, and I had to re-explain my entire order to the cashier. She also tried to charge me for my girlfriend's drink (which was supposed to come with the meal) and I had to explain to her her own menu (again) and how my girlfriend's order came with a drink.

Then, she forgot to give me my debit card back.

Then we went upstairs to eat, and the nozzles on the drink machine weren't installed correctly and my girlfriend got sprayed all over with Dr. Pepper.

The food, however, was delicious.

This is my new favorite BBQ place in UT, for several reasons. First off - the ribs and brisket were cooked and seasoned to perfection. In addition to the amazing meats, the service is fantastic. I ordered online and there as a miscommunication about my sides, which I drove away not knowing I didn't have. However, they called me after I had left and not only gave me fresh sides when I got back but also gave me extra + a discount on my next visit. Hard to find a place with better BBQ or as high quality of service.

If you're looking for a place that understands true BBQ, look no further. Five Star will have you coming back again and again for their delicious BBQ and selection of homemade sauces. Not only is their meat cooked to perfection but the wide variety of sides they offer do not disappoint. You really can't go wrong here.
