EDIT: Received a letter stating that I'm fired as a patient from the office manager when I asked them for a referral elsewhere, since the PWC wouldn't see me due to what Susan wrote on my chart. They told me to go to the county to find a Doctor. I was told today that Susan wrote that I was "non compliant, and rude" as a flag on my file for every medical professional that looks at my chart to see. I've been bleeding for almost 4 months, some of my symptoms indicate endometrial cancer. I've never seen or dealt with a place like this before in my life. I went in today on 9/22/2017 to request my medical records. I was told it will take 5 days to get them.
EDIT: At my follow up appointment for irregular bleeding Susan said "if you are bleeding this much you should be anemic". Questioning my sincerity was incredibly insulting and harmed communication. I decided that since I had a negative communication experience both during this visit, and with the Doctor at my yearly that this practice probably wasn't a good fit for me and that I should seek healthcare elsewhere. The care I got here seems like it would work for most people very well, office seemed like a well oiled machine, but doesn't seem like a good fit for women like myself with uterine abnormalities, or more complex health issues who may need more individualized care.
Outside of my recent experiences there were some red flags for communication when I went in for my 1st appointment. I was worried about my fertility, and was offered birth control pills or an IUD by Dr Kruse as a solution for my heavy periods, and pelvic pain. I ingeminated that I can't take/don't want hormones, and that I can't have an IUD inserted because of my Mullerian defect.
I decided to go to another practice and went to the Pueblo Women's Center seeking assistance, they told me they had openings in a week for new patients. I had my records sent to The Pueblo Women's Health Center, but upon receipt of my medical records they denied me care. To reiterate: I was told that I could "get an appointment in about a week", until they read whatever was in the records sent to them by Associates. The open availability a week out when I went in to fill out paperwork morphed into "None of the Doctors here have any availability at all." They wouldn't give me an appointment months out; seems very strange.
The Pueblo Women's Center told me that they asked Associates to refer me to another provider after rejecting me as a patient. I called Associates and told them what PWC said. I was told by Dr Kruse's front desk woman that I was supposed to get a callback from the office manager about this probably by next day. I called Associates on Thursday of last week (9/14) currently it's Wednesday of a new week (9/20), still no callback. I'm still bleeding, it's been 3 and a half months, have no idea what is causing this unending bleeding; and as of yet no gynecological health care provider.
Older review: They scheduled me with the midwife instead of my doctor and then asked us to come back the next day after taking off work because they made a scheduling error. Midwife couldn't help me. A huge waste of time and money, plus now I have to find a new doctor in the middle of having unexplained bleeding for 2 months

I had an IUD placement here and the midwife was quick plus talked me through everything she was doing. I was nervous going in but she made sure I was as comfortable as I could be. I couldn't be more than happier with the level of care I received.

If I could give them no stars I would. I would just like to say how unprofessional and how uncaring this facility is. I called to make an appointment with an OBGYN after having a positive pregnancy. I am new in town and don't have a regular doctor I let the receptionist know that I haven't been see before and I would like to make an appointment and talk with someone about some concerns I had. She made me an appointment several weeks away I explained to her that I was having sharp cramping pain as well as some heavy bleeding and I wanted to know if I should go in sooner or go to the ER. She told me she couldn't answer my question because she wasn't a doctor or a nurse. Understandable I asked to speak with someone that could answer my question. She then told me I could not because I'm a new patient. I said again that I have some concerns about the pain and bleeding she then told me she would make a note to have a doctor or a nurse call me. That never happened I never got a call or a miss call because I never heard from them I went to the ER and it was an entropic pregnancy. I just couldn't believe how rude the woman on the phone was so uncaring and unhelpful. After finding a OBGYN I couldn't believe how caring and concerned they were with the situation and went out of their way to call and check up on me even though I wasn't a patient. I recommend going an were else.
