unbelievable! these people scared me to death! they said I have perio disease, which I do not! wanted to charge $1,000 for a cleaning which I do not need. Went to see my old dentist in Southern Pines yesterday, and they say this is a total scam! stay away from this office!

Have been going to Dr Patterson for the past 1 year and really enjoy his office and staff. He is very patient and a non-alarmist which I like. Would certainly suggest him to anyone.

I completely agree with the positive review below - I have been going to Dr.Patterson's office for years (after trying numerous other dentists in the area) and he is the best by far. Easy to make an appointment, courteous staff, and Dr.Patterson knows how to do it RIGHT the first time!

It is obvious that the negative reviewer shopped around after leaving Dr.Patterson's office and naturally found a dentist who simply told him what he wanted to hear in order to get his business. The age old adage is true - "You get what you pay for". If you want a dentist who will simply provide a cheap bandaid fix that will cause more problems down the road then Dr.Patterson is not for you. If you want a dentist who will fix it RIGHT the first time, saving you money in the long run, then you won't find better than Dr.Patterson.

I checked Google to get Dr. Patterson's number to make an appointment and saw MJ's comments below. After reading the review by MJ, I had to look at the doctor's name again to make sure he had the right person. My family and I have been going to see Dr. Patterson for two years now and have felt his quality of care to be accurate, proactive, and with rates lower then my last dentist in Cary. We have had two recent emergencies and Dr. Patterson has made sure we were worked in that day, which required evening work one of the times. After seeing many dentists over the years and in many states, I feel very comfortable and satisfied with the quality of care my family and I receive.

DO NOT GO TO THIS GUY!!! BOTTOM LINE IS THAT HE IS CROWN HAPPY!!! I WAS INHERTED BY THIS GUYS WHEN THE PREVIOUS DENTIST SOLD THEIR PRACTICE TO HIM AND WAS QUICKLY SUCKERED INTO HAVING 2 CROWNS THAT I HAVE COME TO FIND OUT WERE NOT EVEN NECESSARY. I WAS TIPPED OFF WHEN HE WAS SUGGESTING A THIRD!!!! AND I TALKED WITH MANY CO-WORKERS THAT HAPPENED TO GO TO DR. PATTERSON AS WELL. EVERYONE HAS THE SAME STORY. HE WANTS TO CROWN EVERY TOOTH YOU'VE GOT! $$$$$$$$$ HIS CROWN PRICE WAS $250.00 MORE THAN OTHER DENTISTS WHO I HAVE RECENTLY SWITCHED TO.
AFTER THE THIRD CROWN WAS DUE, I WENT TO ANOTHER DENTIST FOR A SECOND OPINION AND HE SAID THE TOOTH WAS AS HEALTHY AS THEY COME. IT DID HAVE A SCRATCH ON THE SURFACE WHICH DR. PATTERSON CLAIMED THE WHOLE TOOTH WAS CRACKED. THE NEW DENTIST SIMPLY BUFFED IT OUT WITH ONE OF HIS TOOLS AND NOW IT'S GONE. THE NEW DENTIST ALSO LOOKED AT MY OLD X-RAYS AND ASKED WHY I HAD THE OTHER TEETH CROWNED...I SAID B/C IT WAS RECOMMENDED AND ONCE AGAIN HE SAID THAT OTHER GUYS IS CRAZY, THESE TEETH LOOKED PERFECTLY HEALTHY BEFORE THE CROWN AS WELL!!!
IT'S UNBELIEVABLE!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, YOUR MONEY, OR YOU PERFECTLY HEALTHY TEETH WITH THIS GUY!!! IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME, THEN I CAN REFER YOU TO THREE CO-WORKERS WITH THE SAME STORY!
