I was referred to UDA by my dentist because she could not remove my tooth from her office. I called UDA to schedule an appointment. I was told I needed to come in for a consultation before scheduling the procedure.

I arrived on a Saturday afternoon for my consultation. As I was filling out the paperwork I was called to the back. The nurse asked me a few questions and took my vitals. The doctor arrived a couple of minutes later. He asked me about my medical history focusing more on my history with anesthesia. After a few questions he said I would be a good candidate for the surgery and explained how it would all play out.

A month later I get a bill for $334 for this consultation. A 10 minute office visit that was nothing more than asking questions. The paperwork took longer to fill out than the office visit. The questions they asked me could have been asked over the phone. The most frustrating part is this consultation is billed under D9310. My charge schedule under my insurance clearly states D9310 is covered 100%.

I understand the payment is an issue with my insurance, but $334 for a 10 minute office visit to ask me a few questions is ridiculous. The best advice it to just avoid this place.

The facility is good and the dentist seem great. Both times we have been here and each time on the phone the receptionist was very direct and matter of the fact. She seems to be 'into' her job as far as prompt but doesn't understand how important it is to encourage or help with customer satisfaction. To be friendly, to listen, and make customers feel important and wanted, should be of upmost importance. When asked if we could get a status on our son after he had been in surgery for awhile, she said something like " his appointment time isn't over, and no we don't interrupt the staff". Never been in a dental or surgery center where the family of a patient wasn't kept informed of the patient's status and the receptionist was not friendly or helpful.

These dentists are extremely expensive. They charge more than double of what other dentists would charge. They wanted $600 over and above the insurance coverage. I would avoid them at all costs.

Waited in the waiting room for 40 minutes for appointment to start. Poor communication throughout the entire appointment. Hygienist typed on the computer with the same gloves she put in my mouth. Zero ability to accommodate for an anxious patient. No explanation of treatment plan. X-ray tech was rude and impatient-no sympathy for anxious patient here. Rude response to questioning treatment plan (fair because you know, it's my body and my money we're talking about here? I only needed clarification). I left in tears. If you have ANY minor nervousness about the dentist, value your time or prefer a sanitary and well-communicated appointment....Do. Not. Go. Here.

I had recently moved to this area and was in need of an orthodontist. Dr King and his staff took care of me based on on my out of state dentist's referral and within 2 days of my calling them I had an appointment and treatment. Dr King treated me in a very professional manner and I received outstanding care by him and his staff.
